The 2013 AAPS National Biotech Conference is taking place from May 20th to May 22nd, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina located in beautiful San Diego, California. The conference is devoted to scientists who are developing methods to advance health through innovations in biotherapeutics.

Particle Sizing via Dynamic Light Scattering. The Nanotrac Wave is a bench top unit that can measure the particle size distribution of materials ranging in size from 0.8 nanometers to 6500 nanometers. The Wave utilizes an innovative probe technology, and also uses an enhancement of Photon Correlation Spectroscopy, called the Controlled Reference Method, which is unique to Microtrac. The Wave can also measure Zeta Potential, and Molecular Weight.

Zeta Potential measurement via streaming potential. The Stabino is a small bench top instrument that measures the particle charge of colloids. By measuring the streaming potential of the material, zeta potential can be calculated in minutes, which will allow researchers to identify the stable zones of the material.
Particle Sizing via Laser Diffraction. The Microtrac Bluewave is a laser diffraction particle size analyzer that can measure from 10 nanometers all the way to 2800 microns. By using true blue laser diodes, the Bluewave has the capability to measure a wide range of particles.
