Dynamic Image Analysis (DIA) is an optical measurement that has been around for 25 years, but recently started gaining popularity in the material science community as a sieve alternative. DIA’s use high-speed, high-resolution cameras to take multiple images of the particles as they pass through a sensing zone, while software algorithms track and analyze various morphological parameters of the material.
The PartAn 3D is the only 3D DIA instrument on the market that has the ability to measure particles in 3D, which allows a user to quickly identify out of spec product. In addition to 3D, the PartAn 3D measures 31 morphological parameters including 15 size parameters, sphericity, aspect ratio, concavity, density, transparency, and compactness (to name a few) in one fast analysis.
