Webinar:: Adsorption Isotherms and Analysis Models: From BET to NLDFT

Understanding the surface properties and porosity of materials is fundamental to the development and optimization of a wide range of applications, spanning catalysis, gas storage, energy technologies, and environmental systems. Among the most widely employed characterization techniques, gas physisorption provides a robust and effective approach to investigating the interactions between gases and solid surfaces, yielding essential information on specific surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution.

This webinar will introduce the fundamental principles of gas physisorption and will examine the main analytical models used for data interpretation, ranging from classical methods such as BET, t‑plot, and BJH to more advanced approaches including NLDFT. Particular emphasis will be placed on the underlying assumptions, applicability, and limitations of each model.

The aim of the webinar is to offer a practical and accessible overview of adsorption isotherms, addressing both newcomers to physisorption techniques and experienced users seeking a more informed and rigorous interpretation of experimental data.
